Mechanic | Mason, MI

Salary Range: $48,000 - $80,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance and inspections on manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to identify root causes of failures.
• Execute repairs, overhauls, and replacements of defective parts, components, and machinery.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics for equipment maintenance.
• Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used accurately.
• Adhere to all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), during maintenance operations.
• Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and optimize machine performance.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining industrial machinery and equipment.
• Relevant technical degree or vocational training in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a mechanic in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Strong understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Adherence to safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with PLC troubleshooting and basic programming.
• Proficiency in welding and fabrication techniques.
• Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
• Demonstrated ability in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies.
