Warehouse Operations Lead (Growth Track)

InStride Surfaces is a growing wholesale flooring distributor building a clean, efficient
distribution operation. We are seeking a Warehouse Operations Manager to supervise and assist with day-to-
day warehouse execution, manage a team, and grow into a regional warehouse management
role as the business scales.
This role is ideal for an underutilized warehouse lead, supervisor, or assistant manager
who already operates with a manager mentality, can lead people, and wants real
ownership.
Responsibilities
• Supervise daily warehouse operations including receiving, put-away, staging, picking,
and outbound shipments
• Lead and direct warehouse associates to ensure accuracy, productivity, and safety
• Step in to assist with picking, pulling, and staging as needed, especially during peak
periods
• Oversee and improve will-call operations and customer pickups
• Coordinate daily outbound freight and 3PL pickups
• Maintain inventory accuracy through organization, cycle counts, and discipline
• Enforce cleanliness, safety, and operational standards
• Identify and implement workflow, layout, and efficiency improvements
• Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management of warehouse
associates
• Use ERP and warehouse systems to track inventory movement and accuracy
• Act as the on-site owner of warehouse execution and accountability
Requirements
• 3+ years warehouse or distribution experience
• Prior experience leading or supervising warehouse associates
• Forklift certified
• Experience in inventory-heavy, palletized environments
• Comfortable managing will-call activity and carrier interactions
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Manager mentality with a hands-on leadership and coaching approach
• Comfortable learning systems and processes
Nice to Have
• Experience coordinating with 3PL carriers
• Basic forklift maintenance knowledge or mechanical familiarity
• Experience improving warehouse workflow or layout to deliver the our promise of above and beyond service to our business partners.
