Now Hiring! Safety Manager.

Job type: Exempt/Full-Time.  

Salary: $100k-$125k.

Location: Hybrid-Corporate Office – Tampa, FL.

Summary:

The Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the organization’s safety and compliance programs. This role ensures all employees, contractors, and volunteers operate in a safe environment by maintaining regulatory compliance, conducting training, and reducing risks through proactive initiatives.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive Safety & Risk Management Program tailored to youth sports and gymnastics programs.
• Ensure all staff complete safety onboarding and annual refresher courses.
• Maintain compliance with USAG, SafeSport, state childcare regulations, and facility safety standards.
• Ensure all coaching and program areas follow age-appropriate safety guidelines.
• Create and distribute safety communications, bulletins, and monthly safety reports.
• Manage and track all staff certifications, including CPR/First Aid, SafeSport, coaching credentials, concussion training, and mandated reporter requirements.
• Ensure timely renewals and monitor expiring certifications.
• Collaborate with HR to track certifications, maintain training logs, and ensure compliance documentation is up to date.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.  

 

Education and Work experience:

• 5+ years of experience in youth sports, gymnastics, recreation, or safety/compliance roles.
• Strong understanding of youth safety protocols, child protection, and athletic safety.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Familiarity with USAG or governing body, SafeSport standards, and youth sports injury prevention.  

 

Skills and Knowledge:

• Excellent organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments in a fast-paced, acquisition-driven environment.
• Accountability, ownership, and a continuous learning mindset.  

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications such as: CPR/First Aid, and SafeSport Trained.
• Risk Management for Youth Sports (NRPA or similar).
• Experience with UKG and Ankored platforms.
