Risk Insurance Coordinator

Required Skills & Experience

Must-Have Requirements

- Insurance-heavy background (risk management, insurance company, or project admin with insurance focus)

- **Experience with claims administration** (except workers comp)

- Familiarity with Vista, Timberline, and **SharePoint (strong need)**

- Strong organizational, communication, and technical skills

- Ability to work independently, direct leadership, not afraid to ask questions

- Detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities and projects

- Not job-hoppy (open to good experience, but no frequent job changes)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Plusses

- Degree in Risk Management or related field preferred (not required)

- 3–5 years in an insurance-related support role preferred

- Experience managing subcontractor certificates

- Experience in construction or general construction industry

- Advanced MS Word and Excel skills

- Claims process experience (auto/property)

- Proactive, self-motivated, strong work ethic

Additional Notes

- Office is independent; candidate will have own office

- **No real estate, oil & gas, or unrelated backgrounds unless claims-focused**

- Process-oriented: must be able to track, follow up, and escalate as needed

Job Description

Job Responsibilities

- Claims entry and close out in Origami (internal risk management system)

- Manage minor claims (auto, property, general liability, OCIP)

- OCIP manual review, certificates, calculations, and OCP applications

- Manage third-party insurance verification accounts

- Request and track Owner Insurance certificates

- Enforce and track all subcontractor/vendor insurance requirements (VISTA, ICA)

- Review and clear weekly subcontractor non-compliance

- Collaborate with Legal and Risk Management on insurance requirements

- Produce and publish insurance-related reports

- Maintain accurate records and data entry

- Operate in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

- Deliver timely, accurate results with a customer service mindset

- Other insurance-related assignments as needed
