Teachers can expect clear frameworks, strong professional collaboration, and the freedom to innovate while guiding students toward excellent college readiness outcomes.About the roleThe PYP Coordinator serves as the primary division’s pedagogical leader, bridging strategic vision with daily instruction. This role drives the integration of the IB framework and American standards, fostering an inquiry-based culture while mentoring staff to ensure holistic student success.Teach assigned courses and lead the development of the IB PYP curriculum while ensuring alignment with Common Core State Standards.Plan and facilitate ongoing professional development and provide mentorship to staff on IB methodologies and instructional strategies.Collaborate with teachers to create interdisciplinary, student-centered units that integrate social-emotional learning and accommodate diverse learner needs.Serve as the primary contact for the International Baccalaureate Organization to manage accreditation processes, documentation, and compliance.Coordinate PYP-specific events, exhibitions, and assessments to ensure the program runs smoothly and meets international standards.Monitor student progress using data-driven approaches and prepare detailed reports for school leadership and the IBO.Foster strong relationships with parents and the community through effective communication regarding student progress and program initiatives.Oversee the allocation of resources and materials to ensure classrooms are fully equipped to support the curriculum.Lead innovation by regularly evaluating program effectiveness and implementing best practices to enhance the quality of education.QualificationsBachelor degree in Education or a related fieldCurrent teaching certification3+ years of PYP classroom experienceExcellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skillsSalary and benefitsSalary package negotiable and commensurate with experience and qualificationsRound-trip airfare per yearSummer and winter holidaysNational holidaysLunch providedFree education for dependent childMedical insurance
