Pay Range: $33 - $59 /hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership & Unit Oversight
• Lead the PACU team with accountability for clinical, operational, and workforce outcomes.
• Maintain a safe, supportive work environment that aligns with the organization's mission and standards.
• Serve as chief retention and safety officer for the PACU.
• Clinical & Operational Management
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, onboarding, orientation, and performance management.
• Ensure delivery of evidence-based, high-quality PACU care.
• Promote clinical competency and maintain high standards of nursing practice.
• Financial & Resource Management
• Manage unit budget and ensure financial performance meets targets.
• Efficiently deploy human and material resources.
• Utilize Lean and quality tools to improve operations and reduce waste.
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration
• Foster strong communication and collaboration with anesthesia, surgeons, perioperative teams, and other departments.
• Create healthy team dynamics, resolve conflicts, and promote a collaborative culture.
• Quality, Safety & Compliance
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and safety standards.
• Use data for decision-making and proactively reduce risks.
• Lead safety initiatives and performance improvement projects.
• Professional Development & Culture Building
• Promote shared governance and staff engagement.
• Support professional growth, mentorship, and succession planning.
• Represent the organization on committees, councils, and external forums.
• Evidence-Based Practice & Research
• Encourage research, evidence-based practice, and innovation within the PACU.
• Participate in value analysis and evaluate products impacting patient care.

• Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Active RN License (Single-State or Compact)
• BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
• Minimum 2 years of progressive nursing management experience required
• Ability to work night shift (for this specific role)
• Ability to deliver individualized care in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Commitment to client care standards, safety policies, and code of conduct
