As the area's premier provider of psychiatric services, Hackensack Meridian Behavioral Health Services has been delivering comprehensive mental health and substance abuse services to the residents of Monmouth, Ocean, Middlesex, and Bergen Counties for over forty years.

HMH is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible geriatric psychiatrist to join the growing team at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. The geriatric psychiatrist will oversee a 12-bed inpatient geriatric unit at Raritan Bay Medical Center - Perth Amboy. Candidates with clinical expertise, effective communication, academic prowess, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care are strongly encouraged to apply.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee a 12-bed inpatient geriatric unit
  • Physician shall work full-time, a minimum of forty (40) hours per week
  • Teach and supervise psychiatric residents, fellows, and/or medical students.
  • Serve on committees and task forces, as needed.
  • Collaborate with Advanced Practice Provider(s) (“APPs”) and shall execute a collaboration agreement with the APP(s)

REQUIREMENTS:

  • M.D./D.O. degree from a recognized Medical or Osteopathic School
  • American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology certified or eligible
  • Board of Geriatric Psychiatry certified or eligible (preferred)
  • Able to obtain NJ Medical License, CDS, and DEA

Budget and Grant Funding: Departmental budgets and any grant funding associated with the job position may impact the pay that can be offered.
