A growing multifamily developer–builder in Seymour, Indiana is seeking a dynamic Director of Construction to lead all field and project operations across ground-up apartment, townhome, and mixed-use developments. This role oversees multiple project teams and plays a key part in shaping construction strategy, performance, and growth across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide executive-level oversight across all active multifamily construction projects
• Lead and mentor Project Managers, Superintendents, and field staff
• Establish and enforce operational standards, schedules, quality controls, and safety processes
• Collaborate with preconstruction on budgeting, scheduling, value engineering, and risk review
• Drive project profitability, resource allocation, and staffing planning
• Enhance internal communication, reporting structures, and project delivery efficiency
• Partner with ownership, development, and design teams throughout the project lifecycle
• Represent the company in meetings with investors, municipalities, and key stakeholders
What We’re Looking For:
• 10–15+ years of construction experience, with strong multifamily ground-up expertise
• Proven leadership managing multiple large-scale multifamily projects ($15M–$80M+)
• Strong operational, scheduling, and financial management skills
• Ability to build, mentor, and scale high-performing teams
• Excellent communication and client-facing ability
• Deep understanding of multifamily building systems, wood-frame and podium construction, site development, and sequencing
