Cloud Systems Engineer (MSP) Queens with Career path: Senior Cloud Engineer → Lead → Solutions Architect

I’ve spent the last several years helping scale a cloud-driven technology organization that’s backed, stable, and intentionally investing in people and not burning them out. We’ve doubled our recurring revenue, expanded intelligently, and modernized how we deliver cloud and security services for 160+ organizations who rely on us daily. Our model is strategic, proactive, and genuinely respected by clients who have partnered with us for 10–15+ years.

We build environments the right way, document cleanly, automate heavily, and believe that consistency creates freedom. When systems are stable, engineers get time to grow, architect, and innovate and not grind. As we expand our NYC cloud engineering presence, we’re adding someone who wants to deepen Azure, automation, Microsoft cloud, and secure infrastructure design while working alongside senior architects who actually mentor and promote internally. This role is being opened because our team is scaling, not replacing.

What You’ll Grow Into

• Azure architecture & modernization projects
• Designing secure cloud environments
• Security-as-a-service expansions (XDR, SOC light, SIEM tools)
• Microsoft cloud migrations & Zero Trust design
• Long-term path to Solutions Architect or Lead Cloud Engineer

What You’ll Actually Work On

• Microsoft cloud environments (Azure, M365, Entra, Intune)
• Virtual infrastructure & cloud modernization initiatives
• VPN modernization, identity strategy, access management
• Firewall/cloud security posture enhancements
• RMM & monitoring improvements for more automation, less noise

Compensation

$75,000–$90,000

Ideal Background

• Experience with Microsoft cloud & virtualization (Azure / VMware)
• Identity & access experience (M365, Entra, Intune)
• Firewall/network understanding (any flavor)
