Tech Foundry, Western MA’s IT-focused workforce development organization, has launched a new program for young adults seeking new college/career opportunities. This initiative, called Tech Bridge, offers technical professional development, college readiness and exploration, leadership and team-building, internships and a supported pathway to tech careers, college – or both!
The Audio-Visual Technology Instructor will join a team that is committed to the mission of connecting talented residents to equitable opportunities for living wage jobs and/or college experiences. Joining a motivated, fun team, the A/V Tech Instructor will deliver energetic, hands-on training and classroom instruction to prepare young adults for entry-level and mid-level employment in the AV and event production industries. The Instructor will augment Loop Lab curriculum aligned with industry standards, support the students in preparing for the Dante-1 certification, maintain a supportive learning environment, and partner with Tech Foundry’s team and local employers to ensure students gain real-world skills and connections.
The successful A/V Instructor will be an engaging and organized A/V specialist, using defined curriculum to lead class for 13 young adults, teaching 9-12:30, M-F, for 3 months starting in January. Drawing upon your tech knowledge, you will teach modules including sound, video, lighting, projection and multi-media tech support, including supporting student learning through tutoring and small group support, assessing progress, and ensuring classroom and tech equipment is well-maintained. Collaborating with our terrific staff, you'll build relationships with and engage learners, positively impacting their professional development.

Salary range is $30-37/hour, based upon experience.
